The Technical Bag Factory
Mr. Huang is a kind and hospitable man with a generous spirit.
The second I walked into Mr. Huang's factory I knew there was something special about it.
It's tucked into an unassuming building in the middle of a small neighborhood built around one common goal - bags. His neighbors are his suppliers. While he make bags, they provide woven labels, zipper pulls, laser cutting, sewing attachments, and anything else you can think of regarding the trade.
Mr. Huang runs a humble factory. His team is small in size, with a lot of room to grow. They focus more on quality, which is why I chose them as our factory. There isn't much grand about Lichengyuan, other than the smiles they all wear. Smiles, in my opinion, are the best sign of a quality factory.
Although we can't verbally communicate without a translator, Mr. Huang and I have a special understanding of each other. We don't speak in English or Mandarin - we speak in the craft of bag making. It's our own language - one that I rarely get to exercise. It's nice to find others who speak it too.
